Bilingual (Spanish/English): Hello, my name is Perla Alvarado and I specialize in anxiety/stress, life transition challenges, relational challenges and trauma, working with the Latine community. I also offer Christian counseling and healing from faith based trauma. I have worked in clinical settings for various years, allowing me to have a variety of experience helping different populations. I believe that these clinical experiences have allowed me to be better equipped to help my clients. My goal is that you will feel heard, validated and empowered in our sessions. From a person-centered approach, my focus is to work alongside you and treat you as a person rather than just focusing on the issue or diagnosis. Together, we will identify what your treatment goals are and discuss what is most important to you. You can expect that I will actively listen to your concerns and provide you with tools you can use daily. I work with men and women, ages 12 + . For those who desire to incorporate their Christian faith in their therapy, I am honored to blend together techniques from psychology with Christian truth that aligns with your faith to address your emotional, relational, & spiritual needs.
